BOOK PARADE

On Tuesday it was a Book Parade. Many people dressed up. Our costumes were made of cardboard, paper, odl towels, milk bottles, cans and many other materials which can be recycled. We wore those costumes, because we care about our planet. For more photos, please visit our website http://www.milford.school.nz/category/image-galleries/literacy-week-2012

Literacy Week

One of the Literacy week lunchtime activities was reading in Korean and Chinese. Thank you all parents who came to Room 22 to read to our Korean and Chinese students in their native languages. Also, thank you all very much for donating books to our International Library.

Farewell for Mrs. Comb

Today, Milford School Librarians had a shared lunch and farewelled their special “Mrs. Comb”. They have been helping Mrs. Comb in the library every day and had a number of opportunities to learn some of the library skills from this awesome lady. They are very sad to say “good bye and good luck with your retirement”, but also very grateful for all the knowledge they gained by helping in our school library, having Mrs. Comb as their tutor.

Disco

Last Friday, there was a Disco at Milford School. It was fun. Most children were wearing black and white clothes. The music was very loud. I was dancing with my friend. We could buy biscuits, drinks, toys and buns. I enjoyed it. For more photos, please visit our website http://www.milford.school.nz/category/image-galleries/disco

Rhythm Interactive

On Monday morning, we went to Rhythm Interactive in the hall. In front of each student there was a drum. We had to copy the rhythm that the people on the stage were playing. It was very loud. Our favourite part of the show was the African instrument called Ngoni. We also liked when the three people on the stage, Lucy, Johnny and Mr Raphael, the room 11 student teacher went YAY! We had lots of fun there. We wish they could come again. For more photos, please visit our website http://www.milford.school.nz/rhythm-interactive-3
